(FOSDP) presents our Annual Dream Builders Awards Luncheon every October. An event that honors four people that give back to their community. We love honoring people from all walks of life, who see the value of helping others. We strive to honor people who often go unnoticed. We have had a few honorees mention to our founder, Betty Baker that our luncheon is their first time receiving an honor from any organization or cause.

On Saturday October 13, 2018 (FOSDP) honored two individuals who have spent years mentoring and helping young and old individuals. Mrs. Ozie Simpson is a wife, mother and Grandmother. As well as a retired entrepreneur. She spent years teaching and mentoring kids. Mrs. Simpson has traveled the world extensively helping underprivileged children. Mrs. Simpson has attend all six Dream Builders Awards Luncheon.

Mrs. Nettie Stevenson is a widow, Mother and Grandmother, she is also a retired neo-natal nurse. Mrs. Stevenson started a non profit organization feeding and clothing homeless individuals. She stated in her acceptance speech “the importance of helping people and doing it for love not for accolades.”

Essentially, It is important to note that our luncheon is also a fundraiser that will help us make a difference in the lives of young people helping to stop bullying and low self-esteem through our media training program. We are also committed to spreading awareness about food allergy and gluten intolerance to disenfranchised communities.
